The "Armadillo Roadkill" is putting in a quotation without introducing it first. It is called this because it comes as a surprise, like an armadillo in the road. Examples of this are...
I like ice cream. "70% of FSU students like ice cream."
Many FSU students are in Greek life. "I am in Greek life because I wanted to make more friends."
Out of all the annoying ways, I probably use the I Swear I Did Some Research. To fix this, I need to be more specific about that source goes with what information.
Ranking them as a college professor, I would say
1. Am I in The Right Movie?
2. I Swear I Did Some Research
3. Armadillo Roadkill
4. Dating Spiderman
5. Uncle Berry and his Encyclopedia
6. I Can't Find the Stupid Link
As a newspaper editor, I would say

3. Armadillo Roadkill
4. Dating Spiderman
5. I Can't Find the Stupid Link
6. Uncle Berry and his Encyclopedia
As a popular blogger, I would say
1. Armadillo Roadkill
2. I Can't Find the Stupid Link
3. Uncle Berry and his Encyclopedia
4. Am I in The Right Movie?

6. Dating Spiderman

I switched the order around a lot based on what the medium is and who would be reading it. For example, the college professor would be more strict on rules and grammar than a popular blogger. Also, a newspaper would care about having correct grammar and credibility than too many quotes. A college students would care more about the rules that stick out in writing.
