Heyoon and Mother Tongue

Heyoon is a place where only an exclusive few could join. A select few kids would go and do rebellious things like drink and smoke. This place is special to Alex because it is where he grew up with his friends rebelling, and he also had his first kiss there.

Personal narratives are based off of your own personal experience, and can include your own voice. It also has a lot of freedom for formatting and style. Research, on the other hand, is factual based, and is usually written in a more formal tone with a stricter formatting.

I sometimes use a casual form of English when I speak, or speak in slang with my friends and family, but when I am writing I usually write in a more formal way.

Amy describes watered down, broken and simple English. She describes it by using her mother which is not native English. It affects her mother because her mother is sometimes judged by her English.
